Blueskiesnrainbows Sires First Winner At Indiana Grand

Blueskiesnrainbows was represented by his first winner at stud on Sept. 17 when French Vanilla won a six-furlong maiden special weight at Indiana Grand, BloodHorse reports.

French Vanilla led at every point of call and extended her margin to two lengths at the finish line, completing the race in 1:15.62 over a fast main track. Marcelino Pedroza was the winning rider for trainer Genaro Garcia and owners Southwest Racing Stables and Steve Lewis.

Bred in Indiana by Swifty Farms, French Vanilla is out of the unplaced Malibu Moon mare French Lick.

Blueskiesandrainbows, a 10-year-old son of English Channel, stands at Sunlight Farm in Sallisaw, Okla., for an advertised fee of $2,500. He began his stud career at Swifty Farms in Indiana.

A winner in seven of 28 starts and earner of $672,552, Blueskiesnrainbows picked up wins in the G2 Swaps Stakes and San Pasqual Stakes, as well as the G3 Native Diver Stakes. He also ran second in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Marathon at Santa Anita Park.

Blueskiesnrainbows is out of the placed Deputy Minister mare Cho Cho San. He is a full-brother to stakes winner Choo Choo and a half to stakes winner Cho Cho Cat. His second dam is Grade 2 winner Dance Colony and his extended family includes Grade 1 winners Another Review, No Review, and Cavorting.
