BC Turf Winner Talismanic Prevails In France Ahead Of Dubai World Cup

Talismanic, last year’s victor in the Breeders’ Cup Turf, returned to the winner’s circle Tuesday with a comfortable win over favored Cloth of Stars on the Polytrack at Chantilly.

The 1 3/4-length win in the Prix Darshaan served as a prep for Talismanic’s bid in the $10 million Dubai World Cup later this month, where he’ll face U.S. based-challengers such as West Coast, Forever Unbridled and Gunnevera.

Following his Breeders’ Cup win last fall at Del Mar, Talismanic backed up the victory with a second-place finish to 2016 BC Turf winner Highland Reel, in the Hong Kong Vase.

While that effort was over the turf and today’s result on the Polytrack, Talismanic will now make the switch to dirt in Dubai for trainer Andre Fabre.
