Barretts Seeking Stallion Seasons, Other Donations For January Auction To Benefit San Luis Rey Downs Fire Victims

In support of industry efforts to provide relief to the victims of the catastrophic San Luis Rey Downs fire, Barretts is asking for tax-deductible donations of 2018 stallion seasons, equine artwork and/or racing memorabilia to be auctioned off at the 2018 January Mixed Sale in Pomona, Calif.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to the California Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Foundation. The CTHF is a non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for backstretch workers at California tracks & training centers and has provided critical support of employees who lost their personal belongings and were displaced from their living quarters by the fire.

Additionally, Barretts will donate 10% of the sales commissions of horses sold at the 2018 January Mixed Sale to the CTHF, as well as their auction services in this endeavor.

The Barretts January Mixed Sale will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27. To contact Barretts about making a donation email [email protected]
