Aqueduct, Charles Town Cancel Thursday Cards Due To Unsuitable Track Conditions

Statement from NYRA:

Due to rapidly warming temperatures in the New York City metropolitan area following last week’s severe winter storm, track conditions are unsuitable for live racing. As a result, Aqueduct Racetrack’s card on Thursday, January 11 has been canceled.

Aqueduct will remain open for simulcasting and online wagering is also available at NYRABets.com.

Live racing is scheduled to resume at Aqueduct on Friday, January 12 with a first post of 12:20 p.m.

Statement from Charles Town:

Due to the impact of the recent frigid temperatures and subsequent thaw on the racetrack, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races has cancelled live racing for Thursday night, January 11.

Charles Town will remain open for simulcasting as scheduled with the resumption of live racing slated for Friday evening.
