$500,000 Guaranteed Jackpot Pool In Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 On Saturday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $500,000 Saturday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the second racing day since Sunday’s mandatory payout when multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $332.72 Friday.

The jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the next day’s jackpot pool.

Saturday’s sequence spans Races 7-12 and includes the $75,000 Unbridled Stakes for 3-year-olds going 1 1/16 miles in Race 9, where March 29 Gulfstream maiden winner Dr Post is the 8-5 program favorite over six rivals.

Race 11 is a third-level optional claiming allowance for 4-year-olds and up sprinting seven furlongs that drew a salty field of nine including 2019 Peter Pan (G3) winner Global Campaign, 2019 General George (G3) runner-up Majestic Dunhill; Spinoff, second in the 2019 Louisiana Derby (G2); and Borracho, third in the 2019 Woody Stephens (G1), all making their season debuts off lengthy layoffs.

Notes: Jockey Luis Saez scored three successive wins on Friday aboard Combination ($5) in Race 7, Eve of War ($7.40) in Race 8 and Graceful Princess ($5.80) in Race 9 to pass Tyler Gaffalione for the spring-summer meet riding lead, 25-23. Eve of War and Graceful Princess are both trained by Todd Pletcher.
