$461,893 Rainbow 6 Jackpot Into Saturday’s Gulfstream Park West Card

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 24th consecutive racing day Friday at Gulfstream Park West, growing the carryover jackpot to $461,893.50 for Saturday’s 10-race card.

First race post time is 12:30 p.m.

A total of $110,127 was bet into the popular multi-race wager Friday, on top of a carryover of $435,465.81 from Thursday’s program. Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $2,416.32.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 was solved at Gulfstream Park for a $2.2 million jackpot payoff Sept. 27 after going unsolved for 47 consecutive racing days.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 spans Races 5-10 and includes the first stakes of the Fall Turf Festival meet, the $75,000 Cellars Shiraz for 3-year-old fillies in Race 7 and $75,000 Showing Up for 3-year-olds in Race 9. Both races are scheduled for one mile on the grass.

There will also be a carryover of $1,875.33 in the $1 Super Hi-5.
