$271,496 Pick 6 Carryover At Del Mar On Thursday

Thursday's eight-race program at Del Mar features a two-day Pick 6 carryover totaling $271,496 after six consecutive favorites went down to defeat on Wednesday's card.

There was $96,600 carried over into the Pick 6 from Sunday, but several longshots on Wednesday assured another carryover even before the final race in the sequence was run.

The biggest-priced winner on the day was first-time starter Clean Living, ridden by Geovanni Franco for trainer Bill McLean, taking a maiden claiming event to the tune of $64.40. Curlin Road's $21.40 upset over Hard Aces in the featured seventh race, the Grade 3 Cougar II Handicap, added to the handicapping puzzle.

The winning numbers were 7/4/3/3/2/2, with five winners paying $4,864.60.

In addition to the $271,496 carryover, there is a jackpot carryover of $126,816, payable in the event there is a single winning ticket in the Pick 6.

Thursday's eight-race program commences at 2 p.m. PDT with the Pick 6 beginning with the third race, scheduled for 3:03 p.m.
