$154,833 Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot At Gulfstream On Saturday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the ninth straight program Friday at Gulfstream Park, producing a carryover jackpot of $154,833.97 for Saturday’s 12:45 p.m. program.

Multiple tickets with six winners Friday were each worth $555.82.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 7-12, including the $75,000 Miss Gracie Stakes carded as Race 11. Trainer Todd Pletcher-trained Treasure for Gold and Shanghai Starlet are among 11 3-year-old fillies scheduled to contest the 7 ½-furlong turf stakes.

Treasure for Gold will be in search of her fourth straight victory over the Gulfstream turf and first stakes triumph. Shanghai Starlet, who captured the Panama City Stakes on the main track last time out, will run on turf for the first time since finishing off the board in her career debut in March. Paco Lopez, who rode two winners Friday in his second day back riding at Gulfstream, has the mount aboard Treasure for Gold, while Edgard Zayas has the return mount on Shanghai Starlet.

Midnight Soiree is slated to seem her second straight stakes victory in the Miss Gracie in the aftermath of her of triumph in the $114,000 Martha Washington Stakes July 7. Luca Panici has the return mount aboard the Lisa Lewis trainee.
