$145,375 Two-Day Pick 6 Carryover Saturday At Santa Anita; Rain In Forecast

There is a two-day Pick 6 carryover of $145,375 into Saturday at Santa Anita and track officials project Saturday’s total Pick 6 pool will exceed $750,000.

With a modest carryover of $38,100 coming into Friday, $200,799 in “new” money was wagered, creating a total Pick 6 pool of $238,899.

With a 10-race card on tap, the Pick 6 will be comprised of races five through 10.  With rain again in the forecast for Saturday, an announcement on the status of turf racing will be made tomorrow morning.  Saturday’s eighth race, scheduled at 6 1/2 furlongs down the hillside turf course, is the only grass race currently in the Pick 6 sequence.

With Bob Baffert’s undefeated Dream Tree installed as the 6-5 morning line favorite, the Grade III, $100,000 Santa Ysabel, for 3-year-old fillies at a mile and one sixteenth, is Saturday’s main event and it’s been carded as the sixth race.

Approximate post time for Saturday’s fifth race is at 2:30 p.m. PT.
